188-002 Test Engineer

Are you passionate about building systems that people use every day—often without even realizing it? We are looking for a Test Engineer to ensure the performance and reliability of our integrated e-payment system, the backbone of seamless, secure public transit experiences in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end testing activities in a fast-paced, high-availability e-payment system
• Analyze business and system requirements to ensure test coverage and functional alignment
• Design and develop comprehensive test cases and environments
• Automate test solutions based on system architecture using scripting/programming languages
• Execute functional, integration, and performance tests across embedded devices and backend systems
• Conduct root cause analysis on production and UAT defects and close testing gaps
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to review, validate, and refine test processes
• Maintain detailed documentation including traceability matrices, test reports, and user manuals for automation tools
• Log, track, and escalate defects through to resolution

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing, with hands-on exposure to test automation and full system development lifecycle
• Strong experience in scripting, debugging, and performance tuning
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Professional software testing certification (e.g. ISTQB) is preferred

Required Skills

• Familiarity with micro-payment systems or automatic fare collection (AFC) using smart cards
• Experience in testing phases such as System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing
• Knowledge of embedded systems and UI/device-based test automation
