Key Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our integrated e-payment systems:
- Lead end-to-end testing activities across the full testing lifecycle
- Analyze business and system requirements to design robust test plans
- Prepare test environments and develop comprehensive test cases
- Execute manual and automated test procedures on devices (UI-based or embedded) and backend systems
- Create test scripts using appropriate programming or scripting languages
- Optimize performance and automate test processes where possible
- Maintain traceability to requirements and conduct gap analysis
- Log, manage, and track defects through to closure
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on test reviews
- Perform root cause analysis of production or UAT issues and improve test coverage
- Develop clear design documents and user manuals for test automation tools and processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software/system testing and test automation
- Solid understanding of the full SDLC and experience with embedded systems or backend platforms
- Strong scripting or programming knowledge for test automation and performance tuning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB) is preferred
- Experience in micro-payment, smart card systems, or automatic fare collection (AFC) systems is an advantage
- Familiarity with various testing phases (SIT, UAT, performance testing) is a bonus
