JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Engineer (Blockchain Developer), you will get to:
• Design, develop and deliver working software applications to delight customers
• Improve software quality using XP practices such as code review and unit testing
• Adheres to the Software Craftsmanship Manifesto
• Prepare architectural and other technical documents
• Assist BA on user stories elaboration
• Assist QA on test automation and bug fixes
• Assist DevOps on build and release automation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
As a Software Engineer (Blockchain Developer), you need to bring to the team:
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with Continuous Integration (Bamboo/TeamCity)
• Experience developing in Mac/Linux environment
• Experience working in agile teams – TDD, Pair programming, Scrum, XP
• Familiar with both Windows and UNIX/Linux servers
• Familiar with Design Patterns
• Familiar with Unit Testing
• Good presentation and listening skills
• Exposure to mobile application development will be an added advantage
• Working experience in Agile and UX development environment will be an added advantage
• Familiar or have experiences in cloud technology such as AWS. Certification on cloud technology will have higher weightage
Specialisation:
• Lead the development of smart contracts and the performance of blockchain integration with existing applications
• Experience developing on distributed ledger technology (e.g Ethereum, Bitcoin, Quorum)
• Experience creating distributed ledger applications (web3, etc)
• Educate clients and internal development teams on the blockchain-related elements of the stack
• You will be required from time to time to work in other areas of the team (front-end development, back-end development, etc)
• Experience developing Solidity smart contracts
• Good understanding of blockchain test tools (e.g. Truffle)
• Experience using blockchain management tools
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Applied Cryptography (PKI, Signing, Encryption etc)
- Crypto-economic incentivisation schemes
- Decentralised Autonomous Organisations
- Cryptocurrency / Decentralised finance
- Self-sovereign identity systems
- Verifiable Credentials
- Zero-knowledge Proof applications
